Irish Bread
Irish Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. flour, 5 tbsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 3 tbsp. caraway seed and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix dry ingredients together in mixing bowl.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons Crisco and add mixture to dry ingredients.
Add eggs and milk.
Mix by hand and add raisins.
Put into large (12-inch) round baking pan.
Bake for a total of 1 1/2 hours.
First 1/2 hour bake at 325°, then lower to 300° for remaining hour.
Makes 1 large loaf.
