Iranian Beef Curry
Iranian Beef Curry is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 lb. lean round steak or chuck roast, cut in 1-inch cubes, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 1/2 c. onion, sliced, 1 c. applesauce and 3 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Brown meat in hot shortening.
Add onion and applesauce; cook until onion is tender.
Blend in flour, curry powder and nutmeg. Add beef broth and tomato sauce, raisins and brown sugar.
Cover and simmer until meat is tender; about 1 1/4 hours or bake in oven at 325Β°.
Serve over hot rice.
