Indian Bread
Indian Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 4 tbsp. sugar, 3/4 c. corn meal, 1/2 c. wheat flour and 4 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Dissolve yeast in water.
Mix flour, sugar and corn meal together.
Add yeast and enough water to make a sticky dough.
Drop by teaspoons into hot lard (deep fat fry).
Fry until crispy brown on both sides.
Remove to a paper towel covered pan.
Serve with butter and maple syrup or peanut butter or jelly.
Also good with ham and eggs or tomato gravy.
Lots of ways to serve them.
