Icebox Rolls
Icebox Rolls is an easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. milk, 1 c. shortening (snowdrift), 1 c. sugar, 1 pkg. yeast and 2 qt. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat milk, shortening and sugar to boiling point (do not boil).
Set aside until lukewarm.
Dissolve 1 package yeast and 1 quart flour in the milk mixture.
Set in warm place to rise for about 2 hours.
Add second quart of flour and place in the refrigerator or let rise and punch down.
Put 3 pinches of dough together in a muffin cup and let rise for 2 hours.
Bake at 450° for 25 minutes in gas stove.
If electric, bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
