Mix hot water, 1/2 c. sugar and shortening; let cool. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar.

Add to cool mixture well beaten eggs and unsifted flour; mix well.

Put in greased bowl and let rise overnight.

Work down.

Cut out biscuits and let rise again.

Put butter on half of biscuit.

Fold over and pinch edges together.

Bake at 400Β° until finished.
