Mix scalded milk, lard or butter, salt and sugar together. When cool, add eggs and cake yeast dissolved in 1 cup of lukewarm water.

Stir stiff.

Work in flour.

Put in warm place to rise. Knead again and put in icebox.

Shape and let rise 2 or 3 hours before baking.
