Icebox Rolls
Icebox Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cakes compressed yeast, 1 c. lukewarm water, 2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 1 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Dissolve yeast in luke-warm water.
Mix salt, sugar, shortening and boiling water.
Add cold water, eggs and yeast.
Stir in flour. Mix until all flour disappears.
Do not knead.
Grease top and cover tightly.
Put in refrigerator.
When wanted, make into rolls and let rise in warm place about 2 hours.
Bake at 400° or 425° about 15 minutes, depending on oven.
