Icebox Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. cornstarch, 2/3 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 c. milk, scalded and 3 slightly beaten egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt into scalded milk.
Cook until thickened.
Fold in slightly beaten egg whites, stirring constantly.
Remove from stove and add butter and vanilla.
After completely cooled, pour into baked pie shell and top with whipped cream.
