Use oblong microwave dish.
Line hot dogs in dish, going in the same direction.
Prepare mashed potatoes (instant works best) to serve 6 to 8. Pour over the hot dogs.
Then place a layer of cheese on top of the potatoes.
Place in microwave on High for 5 minutes. Cheese should be melted and dish heated through.
