Hot Rolls
Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. dry yeast, 2 c. warm water, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, beaten and 1/2 c. nonfat dry milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Soften yeast in water.
Add sugar and beaten eggs.
Stir dry milk into 3 cups of flour.
Add flour mixture to first mixture and beat until smooth.
Add salt and soft shortening.
Add remaining flour until soft dough is formed.
Turn dough onto floured surface; cover with greased bowl and let rest 10 minutes.
Knead dough until smooth.
Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and shape into rolls.
Grease tops with oleo and let rise one-half hour.
Bake rolls at 375Β° for 18 to 20 minutes.
