Hot Rolls
Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. warm water and 1/2 c. milk, scalded, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Stir yeast, sugar, salt and warm water in a bowl.
Cool scalded milk to lukewarm and add to mixture.
Add 1 cup of flour, 1 beaten egg and the melted shortening.
Beat together.
Add 2 cups of flour and beat.
Let rise until double in bulk.
Punch down and make into rolls.
Let rise again.
Bake in hot oven at about 375Β°.
