Hot Oyster Dip
Hot Oyster Dip is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pt. fresh oysters, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1/2 c. chopped onions, 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce and 1 tbsp. beau monde, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Simmer all ingredients in a saucepan.
In another large, heavy saucepan mix 2 cans celery soup and two 8 ounce cartons sour cream (soup is undiluted).
Heat slowly.
Lift oysters and seasonings out of pan, using slotted spoon and stir into soup mixture.
Heat thoroughly.
Serve in chafing dish with toast points.
This recipe doubles or triples well.
