Hot Mulled Wine is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. water, peel from 1/2 lemon, 10 whole cloves and 1 cinnamon stick, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Boil the sugar and water for 10 minutes.
Mix sugar water, lemon peel, cloves and cinnamon. Boil 10 minutes. Strain.
Add brandy and wine. Heat gently, but do not boil. Serve in mugs. Sprinkle with nutmeg or place cinnamon stick in each.
