Hot Hamwiches is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 slices white bread, crusts removed, 2 c. ground cooked ham (generous), 2 tbsp. prepared mustard, 2 c. grated cheddar and 5 beaten eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Butter bread on both sides.

Place 6 slices in 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish.

Mix ham and mustard and spread over bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese; cover with remaining buttered bread slices. Cut hamwiches diagonally.

(At this point, may be covered and refrigerated overnight.) Combine eggs, milk and salt and pour over bread.

Chill 1 hour.

Bake in slow oven at 325Β° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
