Hot Cheese Toast
Hot Cheese Toast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 slices bacon, 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar, dash of black pepper, 8 slices white bread and 1/2 c. mayonnaise, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cook bacon and drain.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, except bread and bacon.
Crumble bacon and add to mixture, then set aside.
Cut crusts from bread slices on all sides.
Spread each slice generously with cheese mixture.
Cut each slice into 3 strips.
Place on baking sheet; cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Bake at 350Β° for 7 to 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
