Holly Sprigs
Holly Sprigs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. sifted 10x sugar, 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 c. ground walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream butter and sugar.
Stir in flour, vanilla and nuts. Roll dough, a level teaspoon at a time into balls.
Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Press down to 1-inch rounds.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes or until golden around edges.
When cool, put two cookies together with preserves.
Sprinkle with 10x sugar.
Makes 3 dozen double cookies.
