Cream butter in large bowl with electric mixer.
Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla.
In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt.
Sift in the flour and salt mixture.

Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 300Β° for 25 to 30 minutes, watching carefully to avoid overbaking.
