Holiday Double Onion Stuffing
Holiday Double Onion Stuffing is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. bacon, chopped, 1 apple, coarsely chopped, 1 c. celery, minced, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cornbread stuffing and 2 cans durkee onions (2.8 oz.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In large skillet, brown bacon lightly.
Drain off all but 2 tablespoons drippings.
Add apples and celery; cook until tender. Remove from heat.
Add onions, stuffing and almonds and mix well. Mix eggs, water, thyme and broth.
Pour over stuffing and mix well.
Spoon into 8 x 12-inch greased pan or baking dish.
Cover and bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes, then add Durkee onions to top of stuffing.
Bake 5 minutes and serve.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
