Hobo Bread
Hobo Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. raisins, 2 tsp. soda, 2 c. boiling water, 1/2 c. salad oil and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine raisins, soda and boiling water and cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
The next day, add the salad oil, sugar, salt, eggs, flour and nuts.
Grease 3 (1 pound) coffee cans or 9 soup cans real well.
Divide batter evenly (1/2 can full is about right).
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Store one week in refrigerator before eating (if you can wait that long!).
