Hip Padders
Hip Padders is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk, 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine plus 1 c. butter, 1/2 c. chopped nuts and 1 tbsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Combine milk, chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons butter.
Heat over hot water until melted.
Stir in nuts and 1 tablespoon of vanilla.
Set aside.
Cream 1 cup of butter and sugar.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Press 2/3 of mixture in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
Top with chocolate filling.
Sprinkle remaining oatmeal mixture over top and more chopped nuts, if desired.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Cut into bars while warm.
