Hermit Cookies
Hermit Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 tsp. nutmeg, 3 1/2 c. sifted flour, 2 c. raisins and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk. Add nuts, raisins and dates.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen.
