Herbed Cheese Biscuits
Herbed Cheese Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cups sifted, all purpose flour, 3 tsp. double acting baking powder, 2 tsps. dill, 1 tsp. salt and 1/3 cup crisco all vegetable shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, dill and salt.
With a pastry blender cut in Crisco shortening until mixture looks like coarse meal.
Stir in cheese. Add milk and stir just enough to hold together.
Place on a lightly floured surface and knead lightly.
Roll 3/4 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter without turning cutter (push straight down) and place on parchment lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
