Helen's Rolls
Helen'S Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1/2 c. shortening, 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Melt shortening and sugar in boiling water.
Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast mixture.
Add salt and beaten egg; then enough flour to make stiff.
Store in refrigerator until about 2 hours before baking time.
