Heath Bars
Heath Bars is an easy dinner. Made with soda crackers, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 c. butter, 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips and ground nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Fishing trips to old Kernville.
We took our food and bought root beer at the old Brown Store.
It was surrounded by trees and was always very cool, so we could eat our lunch there under the trees.
We fished in the Kern River close by.
The fish was sure better than the fish you can catch today out of the lake!!!
