Hazel's Cookies
Hazel'S Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix with pudding, 3/4 c. soft margarine, 1/3 c. evaporated milk, 1 c. nuts and 1 bag caramels, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix cake mix, margarine, milk and nuts.
Press half of this mixture in 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Bake 6 minutes at 350Β°.
Melt caramels in top of double boiler with evaporated milk.
Sprinkle chocolate bits over baked layer; pour melted caramel over and swirl into chocolate.
Pat remaining cake mixture over caramel and chocolate layer.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes longer; cool.
Cut into squares.
Yields 48.
