Hawaiian Pie

Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 c. flour, 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple (undrained), 1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello and 1 (1 lb.) can sour cherries (tart; not pie filling), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix sugar, flour and pineapple; heat to boiling.
Add jello; stir until dissolved.
Add cherries (with their liquid); stir.
