Hawaiian Pie
Hawaiian Pie is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with large can crushed pineapple (use juice), c. sugar, c. flour, large can red sour cherries, strained and c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Combine pineapple, sugar and flour and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Dissolve jello and gelatin in 1/4 cup hot water.
Add to pineapple mixture and cool. Add cherries, nuts, bananas and coconut.
Put into 3 baked pie shells and put in refrigerator to set for 1 hour or more.
Serve with whipped cream!
