Hawaiian Meatballs
Hawaiian Meatballs is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 2/3 c. cracker meal, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 2/3 c. evaporated milk and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix ground beef, cracker meal, onion, evaporated milk and salt.
Roll in flour.
Brown meatballs in oil.
Drain.
Simmer in sauce for 15 minutes.
To make sauce, drain pineapple and reserve juice.
Measure pineapple juice and water to make 1 c. liquid. Blend with cornstarch until smooth.
Stir in vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce and lemon juice.
Cook until thickened.
Blend in green pepper and pimento.
Add pineapple.
Simmer 15 minutes with meatballs or sausage in.
