Sift together first 6 ingredients.
Add brown sugar, shortening, apple juice or cider and apples.
Blend for 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat well.
Stir in raisins and walnuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes in a 13 x 9-inch greased pan.
