Harvard Beets
Harvard Beets is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 medium-sized beets, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 cup vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Wash the beets and cook in boiling water until tender. Remove the skins.
Cut the beets into thin slices or cubes. Set aside. Mix the sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Add the vinegar.
Boil the sauce for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
Add butter.
Pour sauce over beets and let stand for a few minutes to absorb the sweet-sour flavor.
