Harvard Beets

Drain beets.
Keep 1/2 cup liquid; combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Mix with beet liquid, vinegar and margarine.
Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Add beets and heat well.
Let set a few minutes.
