Hardy's Biscuits
Hardy'S Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour, 1 tsp. baking powder (level), 1 tsp. soda (level), 1 tsp. sugar (level) and 3 1/2 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Sift first four ingredients together; cut in shortening and slowly add buttermilk.
(If dough is too soft, add little more flour before kneading.)
Pat or roll out to 3/4-inch thick.
Bake at 450Β° for 10 minutes or until brown.
Makes 15 medium size biscuits.
(Place pan of biscuits in middle of oven to bake a more uniform biscuit.)
Brush tops with butter after removing from oven.
