Hard Tack Candy is an easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. sugar, 1/3 c. water, 1/3 c. white karo syrup, 1/8 tsp. flavoring and 1/8 tsp. coloring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Boil the first 3 ingredients together to hard crack stage (300Β°).
Remove from heat and add flavoring and coloring.
Pour onto a lightly buttered cookie sheet.
Score and then cool. Break and cut into pieces.
Dust with powdered sugar.
