Ham in a Can
Ham In A Can is an easy dinner. Made with canned ham (any size) and favorite sauce (raisin, orange, barbecue, etc.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Remove key from any size canned ham and put the key where you will find it.
This is the hard part.
Using a "church key" type can opener, punch holes around the top of the can.
Make 2 holes side-by-side to make larger holes.
Place canned ham in 350° oven for 30 minutes.
Remove can from oven and carefully pour liquid from can.
This can be used in beans or soup, if desired.
Prepare favorite sauce and pour through holes into the can to nearly fill the can.
Reduce oven to 275° and continue cooking ham for 20 minutes per pound.
Remove from oven, find the key and open can. Remove ham to platter and slice.
Serve with sauce.
Throw can away.
No pan to wash!
