Gumdrop Hermits
Gumdrop Hermits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. gumdrops, 1 1/2 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Cut gumdrops into small pieces, totaling 1 cup.
Use ice water to dip knife to prevent sticking. Cream shortening; gradually add sugar.
Beat until fluffy.

Add gumdrops and vanilla.
Drop with teaspoon on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350° for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown on bottom.
