Gumdrop Cake
Gumdrop Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. raisins, 1 tsp. soda, 2 c. water, 2 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Grease and flour 9-inch square cake pan.
Boil raisins with soda and water until 1/2 cup water remains.
Then add 1/2 cup water.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and spices.
Add Crisco and sugar and blend.
Add raisins and water.
Blend.
Flour gumdrops and nuts and add to mixture.
Stir well.
Bake in slow oven at 300Β° for 2 1/2 hours.
Let cool before removing from pan.
