Guest Stew
Guest Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry italian salad dressing mix, 1/4 tsp. soy sauce, 1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce, 2 lb. stewing beef, cut in pieces and flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix salad dressing according to package directions.
Combine 1/4 cup of the salad dressing with the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
Marinate beef in the sauce for 3 hours.
Coat beef lightly with flour and brown in heated salad oil in heavy skillet. Transfer meat to a Dutch oven and top with carrots, onion and mushrooms.
Add enough water to just cover the meat and vegetables. Cover Dutch oven and bake in preheated 300Β° oven for 3 hours or until beef is tender.
Salt and pepper to taste.
May serve with hot cooked rice or noodles if you wish.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
