Grits Casserole
Grits Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. milk, 1/2 c. butter, 1/3 c. butter, 1 c. hominy white grits and 1 c. grated gruyere cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Bring milk to boil and add 1/2 cup butter, salt, pepper and grits.
Cook until thick.
Beat 5 minutes with electric beater. Pour into pan; cool and cut into slices and place in casserole like fallen dominoes.
Mix 1/3 cup melted butter and both cheeses and pour over top.
Bake, foil covered, at 400Β° for 45 minutes and uncover last 5 minutes.
Freezes well.
Serves 4 to 6.
