Melt butter and add to cake mix.
Mix to form a ball.
Take 3/4 of ball and press into 13 x 9-inch pan.

Pour over pears.
Crumble rest of cake mix on top.
Cook at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
