Green Bean Medley
Green Bean Medley is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. green beans (1-inch pieces), 2 medium carrots, cut in 1/4-inch slices, 1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices, 4 oz. mushrooms, cut into 1/4-inch slices and 1/4 c. margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat 1-inch water to boiling in medium saucepan.
Add beans and carrots.
Return to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Simmer, covered, until almost tender, about 12 minutes.
Drain.
Cook and stir onion and mushrooms in margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat.
Stir in beans, carrots and salt.
Cook, covered over medium heat until tender.
