Great Deer Roast
Great Deer Roast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 to 6 lb.) deer roast (boneless, if possible), salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste, 1 tbsp. chili powder, 1/4 tsp. dry mustard and 1/2 tsp. celery salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ingredients and rub on thawed meat.
Let set for 10 minutes.
Place meat in roasting pan lined with aluminum foil. Put sliced onions and uncooked bacon on top.
Add Worcestershire and
2 cups chicken broth around roast. Bring foil loosely over meat, do not use lid. Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes per pound.
Midway of baking time, pull foil away from top and continue baking.
Can add carrots and potatoes this time.
Retain liquid for gravy.
