Grapefruit Freeze
Grapefruit Freeze is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 1/2 c. chopped mint leaves, 1 (46 oz.) can unsweetened grapefruit juice and fresh mint leaves (garnish), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add mint. Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
Pour mixture through a wire mesh strainer.
Discard mint. Add grapefruit juice. Divide mixture into two 1-quart containers. Cover and freeze.
Remove from freezer 2 hours before serving. Stir until slushy.
Garnish, if desired.
Yields approximately 2 quarts.
