Granny's Biscuits
Granny'S Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/3 c. shortening and 3/4 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening with fork.
Add cup of milk and blend until dough pulls away from sides of bowl.
Turn out on lightly floured board.
Knead lightly and roll 3/4-inch thick.
Cut out biscuits.
Place on lightly buttered pan and brush tops of biscuits with butter.
Bake at 475Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
