Grandma's Nut Candy
Grandma'S Nut Candy is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. honey, 1/2 c. sugar and 4 c. walnuts, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix honey and sugar together in lightly oiled 3-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat until boiling.
Boil, without stirring, for 10 minutes.
Stir in nuts.
Insert candy thermometer and bring mixture to 270Β°.
Remove from heat.
Pour candy onto wet work surface.
The mixture will be very thick.
Form into large square about 1-inch thick.
Cut into smaller squares with very sharp knife.
Makes 5 dozen.
