Grandma'S Drop Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. sugar, 3 medium or 2 large eggs, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. butter or margarine and 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk (2 tbsp. vinegar in 1 c. milk), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cream together the sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter or margarine and buttermilk or sour milk.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and cream of tartar.
Add dry ingredient mixture to wet mixture in parts. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
May decorate for holiday baking with sprinkles. Bake at 350Β° until golden brown.
