Grandma's Christmas Sugar Cookies
Grandma'S Christmas Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 tsp. almond extract and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add flavorings and then stir in the dry ingredients.
Chill dough until it is stiff enough to work with (at least 3 hours).
Working with a portion of the dough, keep the rest refrigerated until ready to use.
Knead a couple of times until dough is pliable and roll out on floured table to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut in shapes and bake in 350Β° oven until the cookies just start to brown at the edges.
Do not overbake.
Cool and frost or decorate with colored sugar before baking.
Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
Freezes well.
