Gramma's Gingersnaps
Gramma'S Gingersnaps is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening (don't substitute butter or margarine), 1 c. sugar, 1/4 c. molasses, 1 egg and 2 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add molasses and egg; beat well. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well.
Roll in 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake at 350Β° for about 12 minutes.
They are done when they are no longer "puffed" and the cracks appear dry.
