Graham Cracker Cake
Graham Cracker Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 37 graham crackers (single), 1/2 c. shortening (nueco), 1 c. sugar, 3 eggs, separated and 1/2 c. walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream sugar and shortening good.
Beat egg yolks and add to mixed sugar and shortening (cream good again).
Roll graham crackers very fine and add salt and baking powder to rolled crackers.
Add nuts, then combine with beaten yolks and sugar, adding milk gradually.
Mix thoroughly, then fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake in 2 layers in 350Β° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
