Golden Rod
Golden Rod is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter, 1 to 2 c. flour, 8 eggs, 2 c. milk and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In medium saucepan, hard-boil 6 eggs (10 to 15 minutes). Meanwhile, in large saucepan, on medium heat, melt butter.
Using wire whisk, whisk in enough flour to soak up all of butter (will make small balls).
Add 2 cups milk, stir constantly.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Sauce will thicken.
Cut eggs in half lengthwise.
Use a fork to remove yolk.
Place yolk in a strainer/colander (very small grade).
Chop egg whites and place in sauce.
Toast bread and place on plates.
Pour sauce over toast.
Using a spoon, push yolks through strainer over top of toast.
Serve hot.
Makes 4 servings.
