Gold Cake
Gold Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3/4 c. milk and 1 tsp. flavoring (lemon), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream butter until light and fluffy.
Add the sugar gradually and continue creaming.
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.
Add to the butter and sugar mixture.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add them alternately with milk. Add flavoring and beat well.
Bake in 2 (9-inch) layers at 350° for 35 minutes, 1 loaf pan at 325° for 60 to 65 minutes or 22 to 24 cupcakes at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Can also bake in angel food pan.
